The parking lot is in disrepair at Tipping Point Theatre. The Northville Square Parking Lot (Cady, between Wing and Center) is scheduled to be repaved as part of the City of Northville’s Parking Lot Rehabilitation and Reconstruction program. Work was to begin this week, weather permitting. Nagle Paving, of Novi, is the contractor. The parking lot work will be done one-half section at a time, weekdays, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Due to construction, there will be about 50 percent less parking at the lot. Other nearby city parking lots are located in the deck at Cady, east of Center; at Wing and Dunlap, north of W. Main; and at the Art House/Dog Park. Street parking is readily available on Wing and the east side of Cady.

In addition, the parking lot at Tipping Point Theatre, which is a city-owned parking lot, will also be repaved this week.

The City of Northville Public Works Department (DPW) and staff from the city’s engineering consultants, Fleis & VandenBrink, will oversee this project. If you have any questions or require any special accommodations, please contact Fleis & VandenBrink’s onsite representative at 586-899-7015, or their office at 248-536-1997. The firm also manages a web page that contains weekly updates on road construction projects. View it here.

Because construction can be disruptive to daily activities – driving, parking and even walking routes – the city plans these projects carefully, taking measures to ensure as little down time and inconvenience as possible. The city and its contractors appreciate your cooperation and patience during the construction of this project.
