New condos will bring more residents to Cady St.

Developer and real estate agent Andrew Daily, of Northville, and developer partner Alex de Parry, of Ann Arbor Builders, held a groundbreaking ceremony Nov. 5 to mark the start of construction of The Delano – luxury condominiums and first-floor retail at 106 East Cady. The event was attended by city officials Mayor Brian Turnbull; City Council Members Marilyn Price, Barbara Moroski-Browne, Patrick Giesa and Andrew Krenz; City Manager Pat Sullivan; DDA Director Lori Ward, and others from the community.
“With only six residences ranging in size from 3,384 to 3,642 square feet, The Delano offers a rare opportunity to live in the heart of historic downtown Northville,” noted Daily prior to the event.
The building will have a brick and limestone exterior that blends classical styling with modern design. Inside, the ranch residences feature open living spaces, soaring 10-foot ceilings, expansive windows that let in light and reflect city vistas, west-facing private balconies, and a heated parking garage for residents. The first floor will house retail space for offices. The building will also add 16 public parking spaces on a surface lot.
