The survey is part of a strategic planning process that City Council has been working on since March. Council has reviewed more than 150 recommendations presented by citizen-lead task forces over the past year and identified several major projects that advance these recommendations. The City Council now seeks public input on these projects.

Results from this survey of residents, staff and community stakeholders will help to define the priorities of the city as council plans for the future. The end result will be incorporated into the city’s goals and objectives. The goal is to have a strategic plan that council, city employees and citizens can get behind, with a process that advances priority projects.

Please take the survey here.

Dear Northvillians,

I wanted to slow down for a moment and thank all those in our community for sharing your time and talents on our “Way Forward” plans and projects. We are all on the shoulders of those who have come before us, and for generations, we have talked about initiatives that are coming to fruition because of the hard work and dedication delivered by many of you.

Starting back in 2019, the formation of various task forces was unanimously approved by our City Council for long-term projects such as the Rouge River Restoration & Riverwalk initiative, Ford Field development & visioning and the future of the Farmers’ Market.

The number of volunteers for our task forces including the Sustainability Team is now more than 100 Northvillians. All of this designed to augment the tremendous work of our 27 boards and commissions in town. I am incredibly grateful for this outpouring of participation.

My Ask of you today is for your input on these initiatives through the following survey. Please click on take survey.

Your insights will be used to prioritize future financial & strategic planning for Northville. Community/stakeholder collaboration and communication has always been a top priority for me and a critical element to see these projects through.

I thank you in advance for completing this survey. If you answer every question, it should take about 20 minutes. Again, we value your input as always.

Keep that Northville Faith!

Stay #NorthvilleStrong!
